Does your body feel...

  • Stretchy, bendy, fluid, flexible, or super sensitive?

  • Like there are endless ways to align yourself, but you’re not sure which one is “right”?

  • Struggling to stick to an exercise routine because you injure yourself or overdo it?

  • Oddly loose, but tight at the same time?

If any of this resonates with you, I’m here to help! Hypermobility can be both a challenge and a gift. In this 7-week course, we’ll explore theory and practice, in a supportive community environment. You’ll leave with concrete tools to empower your unique and flexible body.

Some Principles we’ll cover:

  • Healthy posture and why counter-direction rocks

  • The too tight/too loose phenomenon

  • Breath support from the inside

  • Why (and how) an accurate body-map is SO helpful.

  • Tensegrity (what is that?!)

  • Staying inside of your functional range

  • How to use reference points and props to help build proprioception

  • How to support your joints without locking them

  • Deep core support

  • When to seek more support for systemic problems

I’ll honor your interests and questions throughout our six weeks together.

Each class will include:

  • Check-ins

  • Movement EDU / Principles

  • Embodied functional anatomy

  • Somatic practices w/ skilled hands-on support

  • Games / somatic inquiry

  • Take-home practice + an audio recording

You’ll also get:

  • A packet of suggested resources & reading

  • 25% off a private lesson with Tracy (already sliding scale so 🤷🏻‍♀️how does that work? We’ll figure it out )

What to bring:

  • A notebook & writing utensil

  • An open heart and a curious spirit!

Leave with:

  • Concrete tools to anchor yourself in your body-mind-self, as a foundation for your creative practice (and life).

Fee:

  • Base rate: $320 for most participants

  • Early Bird: $290 if you sign up by Dec. 15th

About the teacher: Drawing from my 20 years of somatic practice in a bendy body, 1600 hours of AT teacher training in NYC, a 3 year Somatic Experiencing® certification, 15 years of Pilates/Gyrotonics practice, and thousands of individual client hours, I’ll guide you through each session of somatic practice, embodied functional anatomy, hands on adjustments, and developmental movement activities. By the end of 7 weeks, you’ll feel more empowered in your body to do what you love in a sustainable way.

“I am hypermobile and have developed a lot of [hurting] habits over the years. I tried many times to improve my posture and the way I move, wearing devices and taking dubious advice. Nothing helped. When I began AT work with Tracy, I was able to improve both quickly and sustainably.” -J.S. Software Engineer & musician, NYC

“The 3-dimensional understanding of my body has allowed me to feel at home in a body I've spent most of my life trying to change.” -K.P. Program Manager & Producer, NYC
