Teaching Artist for emerging adults

Since 2018, Tracy has been Associate Faculty of Alexander Technique and Movement at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC where she’s been responsible for educating hundreds of students in the Alexander Technique and Movement for the Actor.

Through trauma-informed and antiracist approach to the Alexander Technique and Movement for the Actor, her classrooms combine community, creativity, and craft. She believes the arts are a unique place for people to discover creative agency in the studio and in their lives.

She has also taught the Alexander Technique for the Completely Ridiculous Conservatory, UMass Dance and Theater Departments, Fairfield University, and Barnard College at Columbia university.

Tracy Einstein

Feel empowered in your body to do what you love! Each session we will investigate the roots of movement through somatics, theater games, and even functional anatomy (muscular-skeletal and nervous system). You'll leave with practical tools for coming home to your body that support a sustainable artistic career. Tracy will share what she’s learned from over a decade of being a professional dancer, theater-maker and trauma-informed Alexander Technique teacher.

Completely Ridiculous Conservatory

“I learned so much about the human body in this class! And the funny thing is? I actually feel like it’s gonna stick. Tracy is a magician she knows exactly the right buttons to push to free the actor of tension.”
— student, Completely Ridiculous Conservatory
